Police arrested woman wanted after armed assault and property damage

Windsor Police have arrested a second suspect after a resident on Louis Avenue was sprayed with bear spray and threatened with a BB gun.

Police put out a notice on Thursday that they were looking for 18-year-old Maya Rose Labelle-Handsor after the incident on November 26. She was arrested on Sandwich Street.

Police say two teens, wearing masks, drove a vehicle they took without the owners' permission to the home on Louis Avenue.

The resident was sprayed and threatened when they opened the door. The suspects fled, but returned two hours later, when they used a knife to break a window and shot at a surveillance camera with the BB gun.

No one was hurt in the incident.

The next day, a 16-year-old girl surrendered herself to Windsor Police, where she was charged with assault with a weapon, pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace, occupying a vehicle without consent, mischief, and two counts of failure to comply with a release order.

Labelle-Handsor faces similar charges.
