Former CWB Plans New Grain Terminal For Hamilton

Plans have been announced for a new grain terminal at the Port of Hamilton.

G3 Canada Limited says they're building the terminal to originate grains and oilseeds out of Southern Ontario for export to global markets.

It's a 50 thousand metric tonne facility.

The grains and oilseeds loaded there will be moved along to the company's facilities along the St. Lawrence River then onwards to export markets around the world.

G3's CEO - Karl Gerrand - says the company looks forward to expanding it's relationship with Ontario farmers.

G3 is what used to be called the Canadian Wheat Board.

The CWB is now owned by Bunge Canada and a Saudi investment company - SALIC Canada.
