An Ontario representative is moving up the ladder with the Canadian Pork Council.
Bill Wymenga is the Ontario Pork rep on the national council. He's also now the Council's First Vice-Chair. Previous First Vice Rick Bergmann has moved up to take over the Chair's position with the retirement of Quebec's Jean-Guy Vincent.
Bergmann is a Manitoba pork producer.
He officially took over at the Council's recent meeting.
The Canadian Pork Council is a federation of nine provincial pork association's serving as the national voice for hog producers in Canada.
