2015 Canadian Dairy Xpo Drew Record Crowd

This year's Canadian Dairy XPO drew over 15 thousand visitors over it's two-day run.

Attendance at the Stratford event was up by about 13 hundred from 2014.

Organisers think they've got a handle on the parking situation those numbers created.

This year's event had 60 acres available for on site parking.

Canadian Dairy XPO officials say they used about two thirds of that - leaving room for growth.

Spokesman Lyndon Stewart says they also worked with the City of Stratford, Rotary Club volunteers, BDO shuttle Services and a team of Stratford police officers to deal with the parking situation.

According to show officials, 94 per cent of this year's attendees were active dairy producers.

Just over half of them were between 20 and 35 years of age.

About 60 per cent of this year's attendees travelled more than 100 kilometers for the event.

And organisers say 15 per cent of Canadian Dairy XPO attendees this year came from out of province or out of country.
