Blog To Help Connect Consumers With Farmers

The Real Dirt on Farming project is expanding again.

An internet blog has now been added to help connect consumers with farmers.

The project already has a booklet and a speakers training program.

Kelly Daynard with Farm and Food Care Ontario says the blog will give farmers and those involved in Canadian agriculture a place to tell their stories.

The blog is being managed by two people.

Daynard says they will give potential contributors any help they may need to tell their stories.

The blog will include stories from farmers and those involved in the industry as well as busting some myths about farming.

Daynard says they're confident if they continue to tell the great story about Canadian agriculture it will rise to the top in social media circles.

The new blog is at www.realdirtblog.ca.

If you're interested in contributing you can email info@farmfoodcare.org.

Daynard says they're also planning to do some 'fact or fiction' segments.

According to Daynard, the blog will also provide a way for people involved in agriculture, but not farming directly, to tell their stories.

Daynard says they're aware that some other similar projects have come under attack by activists.
