Highlites From Annual Drayton Farm Show

(With reporting from Ryan Drury)

The 2015 Drayton Farm Show featured many displays from local equipment companies and farms, as well as numerous insurance companies offering farmers new insurance plans for their operations.

One of the highlight displays this year was by GEA Farm Technologies, who were displaying the new MI ONE automatic milking robot.

The robot features include in flight camera technology, and the fact that the entire milking process, from prep to disinfecting, all takes place within the unit.

Cribit Seeds, a custom seeds and cereals company based in West Montrose, was also at this year’s show, and handed out pamphlets detailing their new seed products.

Among these is the new hay preservative, made by a company out of Sebringville called “The Juice”, which a Cribit spokesman says has already been popular among farmers.

Cribit also has its’ own seed treatment plant, and makes custom, farm grown healthy cereals.

Their website is http://www.cribit.com/.
