The Canadian Dairy Expo is changing it's dates.
The annual Stratford event is moving from February to April.
CDX officials say the Stratford Rotary Complex venue and the commercial dairy production focus will remain unchanged.
Weather is cited as the main reason for the change.
The Xpo dodged a bullet in 2014 when snowstorms closed all the major roadways into Stratford for almost 3 days a week before the event.
April will also allow for more outdoor exhibit space and the potential construction of a large, onsite pole barn structure.
Organizers say they surveyed both exhibitors and producers before deciding to make the change.
Apparently 73 per cent of the current exhibiting companies and 72 per cent of the producers currently attending CDX support the new April dates.
2016 will be the fourth year for the Canadian Dairy Xpo in Stratford.
Next year's CDX dates will be April 6th and 7th.
