Clinton-area farmer John Maaskant has been elected to another term as Chair of Farm & Food Care Ontario.
His Vice-Chair for the coming year will be Brian Gilroy, an apple farmer from the Meaford area.
Lindsay -area grain farmer Joe Hickson is the Treasurer for the coming year with Beth Clark from Simcoe County the Executive Member at Large.
Farm & Food Care also added four new directors this year.
That includes Holyrood-area farmer Jim Gowland, representing the Ontario Bean Growers, and Les Nichols of Formosa representing the Ontario Soil and Crop Improvement Association.
Christine Schoonderwoerd of Wallenstein Feed and Supply and Peter van Sleeuwen of Dairy Farmers of Ontario are also new to the board this year.
Returning directors include Leo Guilbeault, Bruce Christie, Heather Copland and Gerald Rollins.
Farm & Food Care Ontario is a coalition of farmers and related businesses with a mandate to province information on food and farming in Ontario.
