Another month of low cattle marketings in the U-S.
The USDA says marketings of fed cattle in April totaled 1 point 64 million - 8 per cent below last year.
The department says that's the lowest number for April marketings since at least 1996.
There were 10 point 6 million head of cattle and calves on feed for slaughter in the U-S on May first.
That's 1 per cent higher than a year ago.
Placements during April totalled 1 point 55 million.
That's 5 per cent below April of 2014.
