US farmers still working on their soybean planting this spring.
The USDA says it's 79 per cent completed - a little behind the 81 per cent five-year average.
The department issued it's first condition report for this year's soybean crop, pegging it at 69 per cent good to excellent.
That's 5 points behind this time last year.
The U-S corn crop is holding steady at 74 per cent good to excellent - same as last week - one point behind last year.
Spring wheat is 69 per cent good to excellent - down a point from last week and last year.
U-S winter wheat is 43 per cent good to excellent - also down a point from last week, but 13 points better than last year.
The USDA says 4 per cent of that winter wheat crop has been harvested - 8 points behind this time last year.
