U-S farmers continue to work at getting their soybeans planted.
The USDA says 90 per cent of the crop is now in the ground compared to the 95 per cent five year average for this time of the year.
The department rates the crop 65 per cent good to excellent - down 2 points from last week and 7 behind last year at this time.
71 per cent of the corn crop is good to excellent - down 2 from last week and 3 lower than a year ago.
The winter wheat crop condition has slipped a couple of points - now down to 41 per cent good to excellent - still 11 better than a year ago.
And the USDA says 19 per cent of that crop has been harvested against the five year average of 31 per cent.
The spring wheat crop condition is up a point at 71 per cent - same as it was last year at this time.
