Grey Ag Services Contributions Recognized

Grey County Agricultural Services was praised as a resource for farmers at an open house at its offices in Markdale on the weekend.

Grey Ag Services is celebrating 15 years providing resources to the agricultural community.

Urs Eggimann is a bio-mass producer in the Markdale area.

"Grey Ag Services is a fantastic information source for the region and they have all sorts of useful connections where they can bring the right people together," said Eggimann.

The organization's impact isn't limited to Grey County.

Grey Ag Services is perhaps best known as the organizer of Grey Bruce Farmers week held every January. Kincardine area beef producer Steve Eby says it's an important week.

"Without them that program would be in jeopardy and it's a very valuable resource for a number of different commodities to go and learn and socialize with other farmers and update our skills," said Eby.

At the open house, Grey Ag Services unveiled new tech equipment it's been able to purchase through the Trillium Roots Community Fund.
