The Director of Equine Guelph has received a North American Award.
This year's Equine Industry Vision Award was presented to Gayle Ecker at the American Horse Publications event in Texas.
The award recognizes outstanding leadership, creativity and service to the horse industry.
It's also designed to inspire those qualities in others.
Ecker says the recognition from peers in the North American horse industry is amazing to have.
Equine Guelph was founded in 2003 as a not-for-profit centre at the University of Guelph.
It serves the horse industry through education, research, healthcare promotion and industry development.
It's supported and overseen by equine industry groups.
