A Quebec farm is the winner of this year's Dairy Farm Sustainability Award.
The Award recognizes farmers who proactively adopt on-farm management practices that are environmentally sustainable, financial viable, socially beneficial and which can be replicated on other farms.
Ferme Bois Mou 2001 Incorporated uses waterbeds and plastic stalls, instead of metal, so their cows can move in comfort.
Since 2006, all their field management has been using zero tillage practices.
The award includes a 2 thousand dollar cash prize.
Wellington County's Clovermead Farms in Alma won the award in 2014.
