BMO Offers Breaks For Drought-Impacted Western Farmers

The Bank of Montreal has announced a financial relief program for it's farmer customers in Western Canada.

Spokesman Steve Murphy says current drought conditions in parts of Western Canada have the potential to negatively impact crop yields.

While the full impact won't be known until this fall's harvest, Murphy says the bank wants to ensure it's farmer customers have the financial support now to help alleviate any future challenges.

The BMO program for Western Canadian producers includes deferred loan payments and reduced and/or waived fees on a number of services, including annual banking fees.
