Global food prices are the lowest they've been since September of 2009.
The U-N's Food and Agriculture Organisation Food Price Index for July was down 1 per cent from June and over 19 per cent lower than it was in July of 2014.
The FAO's Cereal Price Index was up 2 per cent from June, but still over 10 per cent below a year ago.
The Vegetable Oil Price Index was down 5 and a half per cent from June and it's lowest value since July of 2009.
The FAO's Dairy Price Index was down 7 point 2 per cent from June.
And the organisation's July Meat Price Index remained nearly unchanged from June.
