A change in the term for Huron County's warden means a break with tradition for the county's annual plowing match.
Traditionally, the warden would host the county match in his municipality.
But while Warden Paul Gowing is from Morris-Turnberry, this year's match is being held in Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh.
Gowing is the first Huron County warden to be elected to a two year term.
He says he'll be hosting it in Morris-Turnberry next year.
However, he agreed with a suggestion from the county plowmen's association to hold it in Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh to continue the idea of moving the event around throughout the county.
This year's Huron County Plowing Match Junior Day is this Thursday, the official match on Friday.
Both are at the Hayden Farm on Division Line in Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh.
