Grain Farmers of Ontario is going to have to wait until near the end of next month to get it's day in court on the neonic treated seed regulations.
A court date of September 28th has been set to hear GFO's request for a stay of those regulations.
Chair Mark Brock says GFO considers the regulations to be unworkable and a negative impact on the future of grain farming in the province.
If a stay is granted, the regulations will be subject to further review.
Brock is hoping to hear a ruling on the request for that stay shortly after the court hearing.
GFO reminds its members, however, that for now the regulations are law and farmers need to educate themselves on compliance.
OMAFRA is running a series of information sessions GFO is encouraging farmers to attend.
