A new dairy event has been announced for the Western Fair District.
The first London Dairy Congress is scheduled for February 4 and 5 of 2016. Western Fair District Agriculture Manager Cheron Chamberlain expects the show will develop as a key event for many diary farmers throughout Ontario. Lely is listed as a major exhibitor for the new London show.
However, a statement from Canadian Dairy Xpo officials points out that's Lely Ontario. The CDX boasts Lely North America as a multi-year sponsor of that event, held annually in Stratford. The statement goes on to say they do not consider the proposed London event as direct competition to the CDX National brand.
The Xpo started in 2012 in Stratford.
It's been running in early February but plans to switch to April 6 and 7 for 2016.
