Canadian hog slaughter so far this year is just under 15 million head.
That's a 2 point 4 per cent increase over last year at this time.
Agriculture and AgriFood Canada reports Ontario's price of 198.06 for the week ending September 26th was down just over 16 per cent from a year ago.
Prices in all provinces were down from a year ago - with Saskatchewan's 22 point 5 per cent drop the largest reported for the week.
In the U-S - the University of Missouri's Ron Plain reports the national negotiated barrow and gilt price was 69.83 per hundredweight.
That's up 3.10 from the week before.
Plain says U-S hog slaughter last week was 2 point 27 million head - down 3 tenths of a per cent from the week before but still up almost 9 per cent from the same week in 2014.
