The motion calls on the Ministry of Education to include a mandatory component of Ontario agri-food industry career opportunities in the grades 9 and 10 Guidance and Career Education Curriculum.
Thompson argues the inclusion would help show the government recognizes the importance of agriculture and food literacy in the province.
The man was charged in March with sexual assault offences.
Both couples won in the April 11 draw.
