Total Receipts 2203 cattle & 599 lambs & goats

Summary Tuesday Fed steers and heifers sold on an active trade at prices $3-5 higher. Choice strs and hfrs 154.00 – 157.00 sales to 180.00. Second cut 151.00 – 154.00. Cows sold under pressure. Thursday Veal calves sold on a very strong demand with prices $5-10 higher with right weight calves selling at a premium. Heavy lambs sold $2-5 higher with lighter lambs selling on a good active market. Sheep sold barely steady while goats sold lower due to the week’s decline. Friday Calves and yearlings sold on a strong active trade at prices $3-$5 higher.

Steers

Muriel Osborne of Lucknow consigned 6 steers that averaged 1198 lbs and sold for an average price of 171.20. Four black steers averaged 1164 lbs and sold to Wayne Martin for an average price of 180.00.

Darryl Klein of Mildmay consigned two simm steers that averaged 1333 lbs and sold to Wayne Martin for an average price of 161.00.

Heifers

Connell Farms Inc of Palmerston consigned 36 heifers that averaged 1540 lbs and sold for an average price of 151.40. Three red heifers averaged 1437 lbs and sold to Clark Bros. Livstock for an average price of 156.50.

Robin Riehl of Gadshill consigned 3 cattle that averaged 1257 lbs and sold for an average price of 144.38. One limo heifer weighed 1215 lbs and sold to St Helens Meat Packers for 154.00.

Cows There were 180 cows on offer
