A Cornell University professor suggests the TPP represents a brand new opportunity for the U-S to develop marketing relationships with Canadian dairy processing and marketing companies.
Professor Andrew Novakovic says while the deal's increased access to the Canadian market is a frightful prospect for Canadian farmers, he calls it an alluring opportunity for world exporters - including New Zealand and the U-S.
Novakovic says it will be especially enticing to border states, like New York.
While the Cornell professor says the openings the TPP gives to the Canadian market is modest, he suggests what is important that it is a beginning.
