Organisers of the 2016 IPM in Wellington County are using blue mittens and social media to help promote next year's event.
They've had a number of custom-made mittens produced in the event's official blue colour and with the match's logo on them.
Spokesperson Amanda Brodhagen says they're also running a contest encouraging people to post pictures of themselves or others wearing the mittens on Social Media, using the hashtag #caughtbluehanded.
That contest closes January 15th.
Brodhagen suggests the mittens are good Christmas gift ideas as well as a way for people to show their support for the 2016 International Plowing Match and Rural Expo.
They're available through a number of Wellington County locations, including the IPM 2016 Souvenir headquarters in Harriston.

Amanda Brodhagen says they got the idea from the mittens the Canadian Winter Olympic organisers came up with.

Brodhagen says they're also running a contest on Social Media to help promote both the mittens and the IPM itself.
