The Canadian Agricultural Safety Association has the financial backing for one of it's planned three mobile grain entrapment demonstration units.
The Association is partnering with the Canola producer groups in Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan to help build an operate a unit in the prairies.
CASA Executive Director Marcel Hacault says this grassroots support means they have a solid start to what he calls this new and vital program.
Now the Association is looking for the money to build enough units to serve all of Canada's agricultural community.
The mobile units are to be used at fairs and trade shows, to train first responders in grain rescue techniques and to train agricultural workers.
There's more information on this program on the Canadian Agricultural Safety Association's website.
