Two area conservation authorities are partnering to provide programming under the Great Lakes Agricultural Stewardship Initiative's Education and Outreach project.
The partnership will see the Saugeen and Maitland Valley Conservation Authorities deliver programming that targets soil health and water quality.
The SVCA's Jo-Anne Harbinson says that will include things such as the coordination of cover crop demonstrations, fertility strategies and the benefits of berms.
Harbinson argues maintaining the soil helps farmers and means less sediment and nutrients in the waterways.
Chair Luke Charbonneau says the SVCA looks forward to working with tHe agricultural community in the implementation of the GLASI projects.
