A 4-H member from Kincardine will be part of Team Canada at a beef competition in the United Kingdom.
Bailey McConnell joins Alexa Avelar of East Garfraxa and Megan Foubert from Kemptville on the team.
They were selected based on their success at last fall's Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, where McConnell was named Champion Senior Showperson in the National Junior Beef Heifer Show.
Peter Hohenadel, Director of Agriculture and Food at the Royal, says Canada has the only team from outside the U-K to be invited to the event.
The Young Show Stars competition runs March 23rd and 24th.
It involves young people aged 14-24 from across the United Kingdom.
Competitors are judged on a team basis in several categories, including stock judging, cattle fitting and preparation and public speaking.
