Neonic Rules Called Part Of Growing Heap Of Ag-Related Regulations

One of the problems producers described to Huron-Bruce M-P-P Lisa Thompson at last week's Meet the Members event was the growing heap of legislation they have to deal with is becoming a serious obstacle.

Thompson explains the most recent concern is the amount of paper work involved in the use of neonics.

Thompson also points out none of that paper work is online.

It's all in hard copy and takes hours to fill out.

And she counters it doesn't really solve anything other than make more work for farmers.

Thompson suggests the whole program around neonics has to be re-evaluated.

Thompson says the most recent concern being expressed to her by farmers is the legislation surrounding the use of neonics.
