A Perth County farmer may be looking forward to spring planting with even more enthusiasm than usual this year.
Gary Huitsing of Gadshill has won a new, 8-row Tempo High Speed Planter.
He won it at the Dow AgroSciences exhibit at the recent London Farm Show.
Huitsing farms over a thousand acres northeast of Stratford.
Secondary prizes of corn seed and herbicide went to Jeff Seys from Wallaceburg and Justin Bell from Merlin.
It was an 18 month contest farmers could enter with online ballots, at grower events or at trade shows .
The contest was co-sponsored by Dow AgroSciences, Vaderstad and Farm Business Communications.
