New Ontario Milk Class Part Of New Provincial Pricing Regs

Dairy Farmers of Ontario board approved the new pricing regulation at it's recent board meeting.

That regulation includes a new class for dairy ingredients.

Chair Ralph Dietrich says the new pricing structure will go a long way to promote new investment in ingredient capacity in Ontario.

DFO says Manitoba Dairy Farmers will be adopting the Ontario program this summer.

Dairy Farmers of Ontario CEO and General Manager Peter Gould says his organisation is hoping all provinces will have an ingredients program in the near future.

DFO is currently working the the Ontario Dairy Council and setting up processor orientation and training meetings to review the changes to milk and ingredient utilization reporting under the new regulation.
