Two major Bruce and Grey County agriculture awards were presented at a recent event in Elmwood.
Allan Smith of Tara was named winner of the Bruce County Award of Merit.
Dennis Watson received the Tommy Cooper Award.
Smith has been an active director for the Bruce County Federation of Agriculture for 36 years and has been very involved with many projects over the years.
That involvement includes work on this year's 75th anniversary celebrations.
Watson is a Dobbinton area farmer who teaches agriculture at the Chesley District Community School.
He was instrumental in developing the High Skills Major program in agriculture at Chesley District.
