The pace of the U-S corn planting slowed a bit last week.
The USDA says the crop is now 75 per cent planted.
While that's 5 points ahead of the five year average for this time of the year, it's 7 points behind where it was last year.
This year's soybean crop is 36 per cent planted, 4 points ahead of the average.
That's 5 points behind last year.
And the spring wheat is 89 per cent planted compared to the 64 per cent five year average.
That's 3 points behind a year ago.
And the USDA reports 62 per cent of the winter wheat crop is rated good to excellent.
That's unchanged from a week ago - 17 points better than last year at this time.
