Agricorp's On Line Acreage Reporting Seems Popular With Farmers

Agricorp says online acreage reporting took off last year and is continuing to grow in popularity with farmers this year.

The agency says about one third of the province's farmers used the online reporting system for the 2015 spring and fall reporting periods.

The system's popularity is apparently based on it's 24/7 availability and what Agricorp calls it's ease of use.

This spring's online reporting is available until June 30th.

Farmers can also continue to use phone, fax, email or mail to report their acreages.

A reminder from Agricorp - to remain eligible for production insurance, acres must be reported within ten days of planting or by the final planting date - whichever comes first.
