Representatives of the North Huron Fire Department say this week's barn fire near Bluevale was a case of everything working out.
And they're giving a lot of the credit for that to a 10 year old girl - Briea Savage.
She was the one who noticed the smoke and alerted her grandparents, who then phoned 911.
Briea also ran to the end of the very long driveway to flag down the responding fire trucks.
Because of that, firefighters say they were able to keep damage to the 100 year old barn to a minimum.
North Huron's Public Education Officer, Ken DeVries, says Savage heard the fire safety messages they've been delivering at area schools and did everything right to help firefighters save that Bluevale-area barn.
