Grain Farmers of Ontario has announced its initial prices for the six wheat pools managed by GFO's Wheat Marketing Team.
Producers are advised to consider the initial prices an advance payment on the pool return outlook.
The initial prices are 110 dollars a tonne for Pool G, 130 dollars for Pools A, E and F, and 140 dollars for Pools B and C.
Wheat Marketing Manager Todd Austin says the Pool historically hits market average or better.
He calls it a good insurance policy for the province's wheat producers.
