The index measuring food prices around the world was up in June.
The Food and Agriculture Organisation's Food Price Index was up 4 point 2 per cent from May.
That's the fifth consecutive monthly rise for the index and the largest month-to-month increase in four years.
The FAO says its vegetable oil index was the only one not to post a gain in June.
The FAO Sugar Price Index was up almost 15 per cent, the Dairy Price Index almost 8 per cent, the Cereal Price Index almost 3 per cent and the Meat Price Index was up 2 point 4 per cent.
