Total Receipts 1687 cattle & 739 lambs & goats

Summary Tuesday Fed steers and heifers sold on a selective demand at prices $4 -5 lower.

Choice strs and hfrs 136.00 – 140.00 sales to $143.50. Second cut 132.00 – 136.00. Cows sold steady.

Thursday Veal sold on a strong demand at prices $1-2 higher. Lambs

and goats sold steady, sheep sold barely steady.

Friday Calves sold on a very active trade with good buyer demand

at steady prices. Yearlings sold steady.

Steers

Andrew Black of Proton Station consigned 12 steers that averaged 1485 lbs and sold for an average

price of 138.83. Four black steers averaged 1543 lbs and sold to Clark Brothers Livestock for an

average price of 140.25.

Andrew Campbell of Belgrave consigned 3 cattle that averaged 1345 lbs and sold for an average

price of 136.25. One red steer weighed 1260 lbs and sold to Clark Brothers Livestock for 139.50.

Heifers

Clarence Carter of Parkhill consigned 3 cattle that averaged 1240 lbs and sold for an average price of

137.37. One black heifer weighed 1305 lbs and sold to Cargill Meat Solutions for 143.50.

George Hinz of Monkton consigned 7 heifers that averaged 1293 lbs and sold for an average price of

138.98. One red heifer weighed 1250 lbs and sold to Cargill Meat Solutions for 143.00.
