OMAFRA is looking for help to develop a new Agricultural Soil Health and Conservation Strategy.
The Ministry says it wants a strategy that will sustain healthy and productive soil for future generations.
They're asking for public feedback for ideas on what will work for producers as they build the framework of the program.
OMAFRA wants the strategy to focus on soil demands, climate change, different tillage practices and water quality.
The Ministry adds the proposal should build on the work of other government programs, such as the Climate Change and Action Plan, the Premier's Agri-food Growth Challenge, and the Canada-Ontario Agreement on Great Lakes Quality.
