Neonics Course Extended

Farmers wanting to buy and plant neonic-treated corn and soybeans will have the chance to take the required training for another 7 months.

The Integrated Pest Management course has been extended until April 30th of next year.

The University of Guelph's Ridgetown Campus is offering the training as either a half-day in-class lesson, or as a two-day online course.

The University says the course covers topics such as pest identification, management practices and pollintor protection.

Producers can head to ipmcertified.ca for dates and more information.

The course is now a requirement to buy and use corn and soybeans with neonics.
