Total Receipts 1431 cattle & 599 lambs & goats

Summary Tuesday Fed steers and heifers sold under pressure. Choice strs and hfrs 125.00 – 129.00 sales to $132.00. Second cut 120.00 – 125.00. Cows sold steady.

Thursday Right weight Holsteins sold on strong demand at prices $2-5 higher. Heavier Holsteins sold steady. Beef calves sold under pressure. Lambs, goats and sheep sold steady.

Friday Calves and yearlings sold on a very active trade. Calves sold steady while yearling sold at prices $2-3 higher.

Steers

Rob Marriott of Goderich consigned 3 head that averaged 1260 lbs and sold for an average price of 130.41. Two black steers averaged 1290 lbs and sold to Matt Van Ankum for 132.00.

Larry Reinhart Sr. of Mildmay consigned 10 head that averaged 1352 lbs and sold for an average

price of 126.99. Three limo steers averaged 1407 lbs and sold to Bruno’s Meat Distributors for 130.50.

Heifers

Connell Farms of Palmerston consigned 39 head that averaged 1476 lbs and sold for an average price of 125.94. Five black heifers averaged 1442 lbs and sold to Clark Brothers Livestock for an average price of 128.50.

Dennis and Marylou Bross of Listowel consigned 3 head that averaged 1347 lbs and sold for an average price of 128.29. One black heifer weighed 1295 lbs and sold the Steve Thede for 129.00.

There were 200 cows on offer
