Poultry production is steadily rising across the country.
Statistics Canada reports the amount of hatchery chicks in August to be up 2.1 per cent from last year, at 63.5 million birds.
They note frozen poultry meat in storage to be nearly 96,000 tonnes, which is up 13.6 per cent.
StatsCan also points out egg production jumped by 5.8 per cent on the year, hitting 62 million dozen in July.
