Ag Business and Crop Acknowledged as a Top Canadian Small Business

A Palmerston company was named one of the Globe & Mail's "Canadian small businesses doing it right".

Ag Business and Crop is one of ten winners of the contest.

Owner Felix Weber says he was surprised as there were many entries.

He feels the company's ability to adapt has lent to its success.

"We started out not with the intent to do what we're doing, but we slid into it," says Weber.

"We were a consulting company looking for better options to get information off the fields."

The company now uses drones, automated soil samplers and other new technology to get the best possible field data.

Weber adds he and other employees at Ag Business and Crop aren't salesmen, they're just people who believe in what they're doing.

He's currently looking for more employees as the company is growing.

The owner says getting more applicants from this recognition will be of great value moving forward.
