Approximately half of Swaziland's population is made up of orphaned and vulnerable children as a result of AIDS and malnutrition.
The Egg Farmers of Canada have spearheaded donation efforts to help feed the impoverished nation through the "Heart for Africa" campaign.
The large-scale farming project is made up of 2,500 acres and various farm commodities.
EFC has provided its expertise and has been working with the community to help train and develop long-term strategies for two layer barns.
The group is pleased the barns are now offering fresh eggs to thousands of people in the area.
The egg farmers have now reached $900,000 in fundraising, putting them just 100 grand away from the preset goal of a million dollars.
