The Beef Farmers of Ontario say last week's cull cow trade was soft.
Even though 271 less were sold than in the week prior, cull cows still sold under pressure.
Prices averaged $63.72, declining $3.93 throughout the week.
BFO reports fed steer and heifer volumes were similar to the previous week and the same week in 2015.
While both prices are still down about 18 dollars from this time last year, both saw a boost on the week.
Fed steers averaged $134.84, gaining $3.71 over the week.
Fed heifers picked up $1.44, selling at an average of $133.65.
The farmers also note Ontario railgrade prices were stronger again last week, up by $4.75.
