The Canadian Grain Commission has a new leader.
Patti Miller is now the CGC's Chief Commissioner after spending the last four years as President of the Canola Council of Canada.
Federal Agriculture Minister Lawrence MacAulay made the announcement yesterday.
He says he's please about the appointment of the new Chief Commissioner.
He feels Miller's wealth of experience in the sector and her passion for agriculture will greatly benefit the Commission's work.
Prior to her time with the Canola Council, Miller worked for Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada on grain policies, marketing and trade.
She'll begin her six-year term with the CGC on February 13th.
