Egg Farmers of Canada says it wants to advance the industry and support discovery research to help the future of egg farming.
The group notes it has two calls for research proposals each year.
Priorities for the next proposal includes hen nutrition and health, food safety, non-food uses for eggs and economics.
Interested researchers can apply online by filling out an application form at www.eggfarmers.ca.
EFC adds research results will be made available to producers throughout the process.
The organization also says the goal of the research funding program is foster an engaged community with fully-shared access to innovative information.
