225 pork producers and industry representatives came together this week for Ontario Pork's annual general meeting and banquet.
Those in attendance heard speakers talk about innovation in the industry, domestic and international markets, and the future of agriculture around the world.
The organization recognized Amy Cronin and Bill Wymenga for their work, time and dedication as they are both retiring from the Ontario Pork board.
The late John Vander Burgt of Huron County was acknowledged for his contributions to the pork sector, as was former industry representative, the late Dr. Kees de Lange.
Retired Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Deb Stark was also given an award for her work.
