Net farm income continues to rise in Canada and in Ontario.
The 2016 numbers are coming out of a Stats Canada report.
Nationally, total farm reciepts cracked the $60-million mark rising by over $300,000 from 2015. And is $6.3 million higher than 2012 numbers.
Total net income vaulted over $9.5 million, higher than 2015 but less than a $12.4 million mark in 2013.
In Ontario, total cash reciepts were up to $12.9 million which is the fifth straight increase but total net income was down from 2013 and 2015 levels.
