Multiple topics to be covered at National Poultry Show in London

Many new innovations will be featured at The National Poultry Show, coming up in London.

The latest technology to ease the stress of livestock transportation and to increase efficiency on the farm will be showcased.

Bridget Mahon is the events manager at The Western Fair District.

"I think some big changes this year will be definitely addressed on our speaker stage. But even looking at weather and regulations, those are two that are always playing a big part in the industry. As well, changing consumer expectations is something that's on the forefront of our minds as farmers," said Mahon.

Many presenters will be addressing industry issues and updates.

The industry experts will address issues such as: water quality, vaccinations, adjusting to new regulations, temperature control, vomitoxin in feed and more.

"Vomitoxin is one that we've seen a lot this year because so many farmers in this area were affected by it. It's something that's in the forefront of everyone's minds and that was kind of one of the reasons why it was picked," added Mahon.

This year is The National Poultry Show's 62nd year running.

There will be over 190 vendors on site, and the Western Fair District hopes that this will be the biggest show to date.

The National Poultry Show is Wednesday April 3rd from 9am to 5pm and Thursday April 4th from 9am to 4pm. Tickets are $16 and children under 12 are free.
