Over the course of two days, school groups are escorted through three buildings of agriculture displays to learn more where their food comes from including, what foods or household products are made from Ontario grain.
Grain Farmers of Ontario works to support public outreach by attending events like this across the province. Grain farmers of Ontario also has two public outreach trailers that work to educate the public on agriculture and grain farming. The Grain Discovery Zone trailer visits fairs throughout the spring, summer and fall, and we will be announcing the event schedule for that in the coming weeks. Watch to see if it will be attending a fair near you! Grain Farmers of Ontario also provides farmers and events with displays to use for agriculture education.
If you have an ag education event that you would like to have resources or educational displays at, please visit www.gfo.ca and click on “fairs and events” to make a request.
